Our Wellness Stipend is here to help our people stay healthy. We know that working from home or spending a lot of time at the computer can be hard. So, we want to provide resources to help improve both physical and mental health. This extra money is meant to encourage everyone to take care of themselves, which can lead to better health and work productivity.
Working remotely or at a computer for a long time can lead to health problems. These can include physical strain from sitting too long, feeling lonely, or not being able to separate work and personal life. By supporting health initiatives, we hope to help with:
- Physical Health: Regular exercise can help prevent health problems like heart disease and joint pain.
- Mental Health: Mental health support can help manage stress, anxiety, and depression, which can be worse when working remotely.
How does it work?
- Spoke offers an annual contribution of up to of £1,000 for wellness expenses for every team member.
- You can start using this stipend as soon as you join Spoke; however, it will be calculated on a pro-rata basis depending on your start date. For example, if your start date is the 1st of May, the amount available to use for the year would be £679.39. Our Ops team will calculate this for you before you start with us.
- This stipend resets and renews on 1st Jan each year. If you haven’t used it all, it can’t be carried across into the next calendar year.
